The Artist
About
NyangaBoy
Vocalist · Guitarist · Composer
Born with music in his blood and the African continent in his heart, NyangaBoy grew up surrounded by the rhythms of traditional Zimbabwean music, gospel choirs, and the golden era of Afrobeat. These early influences shaped an artist who refuses to be confined to a single genre.
His debut EP “Roots & Gold” announced a singular voice in the global music scene — intimate, powerful, and impossible to categorize. Critics reached for words like “genre-bending” and “transcendent.” Audiences simply called it unforgettable.
Over a decade of touring has taken NyangaBoy from Cape Town amphitheaters to London jazz clubs, from Lagos festivals to Los Angeles recording studios. Each experience has layered new textures into a sound that is at once rooted and boundless.
Today, NyangaBoy is one of the most sought-after live artists for private events, weddings, and corporate experiences — bringing that same stage magic into intimate spaces that leave guests utterly transformed.
His 2024 album “Amber Frequencies” debuted at #3 on the World Music charts, earning praise from BBC, NPR, and Rolling Stone for its emotional depth and sonic ambition.
